Frequently Asked Questions

5 Questions
How to check TV & DVD Equipment voltage compatibility in Tanzania?
Always verify the TV & DVD Equipment's voltage rating (usually 100-240V) matches Tanzania's standard 220-240V. Check the power adapter or back label. If it's 110V, you'll need a step-up transformer to prevent damage from power surges common in Tanzania.
Where can I find local warranty for TV & DVD Equipment in Tanzania?
Ask sellers on Umoja about local warranty from authorized distributors. Many international brands offer limited local support. Verify the warranty card is stamped and includes a Tanzanian service center contact. Without local warranty, repairs can be costly, especially for items TZS 350,000 - TZS 850,000.
What to check for counterfeit TV & DVD Equipment in Tanzania?
Beware of prices significantly below the average TZS 523,333. Check for TBS certification marks, poor build quality, misspellings on packaging, and generic remote controls. Request to power on and test all functions. Buy from reputable sellers on Umoja to avoid scams and ensure authenticity.
How does Tanzania's climate affect TV & DVD Equipment durability?
High humidity and dust in Tanzania can damage electronics. Choose models with good ventilation and consider surge protectors for power fluctuations. Keep equipment clean and away from direct sunlight. This extends the lifespan of your investment, especially for items like a TZS 850,000 TV.
What payment methods are safe for buying TV & DVD Equipment on Umoja Tanzania?
For secure transactions on Umoja, use mobile money services like M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, or Airtel Money for smaller amounts, or bank transfers for larger purchases. Always meet sellers in a public place to inspect the TV & DVD Equipment before making payment. Avoid cash payments for high-value items.

About Projector

A Projector is an optical device that projects an image or moving images onto a surface, commonly a projection screen. In Tanzania, projectors are increasingly popular for home entertainment, business presentations, and educational purposes, offering a versatile alternative to traditional TVs. Currently, Umoja features 3 available listings for Projectors, providing a good starting point for your search.

When considering a Projector for your TV & DVD Equipment setup, several factors are crucial. Ensure the power compatibility aligns with Tanzania's electrical standards to avoid damage. Check for durability, especially given the tropical climate, and inquire about warranty options. Energy consumption is also a key consideration, as reliable power can sometimes be an issue. Look for models with good lumen output for clear images, even in ambient light, and consider the throw distance suitable for your space.

Projector prices on Umoja range from TZS 350,000 to TZS 850,000, with an average price of TZS 523,333. Pricing is influenced by factors like brand, resolution, brightness (lumens), and condition. Before buying, verify the Projector's functionality, check for dead pixels, and confirm all accessories are included. For the best deals in Tanzania, explore listings from reputable sellers in major hubs like Dar es Salaam and consider using mobile money options like M-Pesa for secure transactions.

With 3 Projector listings available, buyers have a decent selection. While variety might fluctuate, keep an eye out for new additions. Always prioritize checking for TRA duties and TBS certification for imported electronics.
