PVA (Pre-Skimming Adhesive)

PVA (Pre-Skimming Adhesive) Highlights

• Binder for Plastering: PVA, often referred to as Gundi Ya Moto or pre-skimmed glue, acts as a crucial binder in plastering and skimming applications. It enhances adhesion and provides a smoother finish.
• Improves Durability: When mixed with cement or plaster, PVA increases the tensile strength and durability of the final surface. This makes it more resistant to cracking and wear.
• Water Resistance: PVA can improve the water resistance of plaster and render mixes. This is particularly beneficial for interior applications where moisture might be a concern.
• Versatile Application: It is commonly used in construction for preparing surfaces before painting or applying decorative finishes. It helps create a uniform and stable base.
